Mystic Dreamers: Chapter 1 The sound of soft chanting and the occasional light ringing of bells echoed throughout the white marble chamber. A sweet smell permeated the room, born from the incense burning around the altars where young men and women knelt. All wore white cotton robes covering their forms, the only other hint of their presence their soft voices. Seated in the middle of the chamber upon the matching marble floor was a young woman. She wore the same white robes as the acolytes surrounding her along with a simple gold necklace with a blue, cat's-eye shaped pendant around her pale neck. Her hair was swept up in elaborate braids and buns atop her head with long strands flowing loosely down her back, surrounding her form like water upon the floor. This was the Oracle, the unspoken ruler of Erden. She knew and saw all through the visions that came to her mind and were brought to life in her navy blue eyes.
Mystic Dreamers: Prologue For as long as I can remember, I was always called cursed. The moment my eyes opened to look upon my mother, a great gasp went out across the village, fearing that the prophecy foretold by the Oracle would come to pass. That some simple child would be born bearing one eye the color of a clear sky, and another eye as black as the darkest night, would bring the downfall of the planet. It sounded so silly, but when the Oracle spoke, all knew that it would come true; that there was no escape from fate.
