Chill of Death
Cold tears sliding down her cheek,
So chilled that she can't speak;
Death has come for her this day,
Her life shall soon be stripped away.
She shivers from the bitter cold,
Remembering stories she was once told;
One's heart begins to freeze as you die,
Apparently, this story wasn't a lie.
Memories are recalled as she feels the chill,
Of times of her friends died when they were ill;
Perhaps she would see them before long,
Then this chill wouldn't feel so wrong.
Her breath is now slipping away,
This is the closing of her day;
Her eyes slowly close as the chill leaves,
Now she is warm and at peace.
